I recently started commuting to office by car. Driving on Delhi roads makes you a different person. Initially it was all fine, later I started observing the things that make driving a bad experience.
I realized that buses and autos are too slow and if they overtake you and stay in your lane, you get stuck. So you need to change lanes if there is a bus or an auto ahead of you. The two wheelers are opportunists who would see any empty space on the road and try to fit there and overtake you, they don’t care about their safety or security.
Green tempos are the worst, they overtake you and then move like a snail and do not even let you overtake them.
All these experiences made me realize an inherent bias in my head.
I despise all vehicles that are not cars, and if a car starts overtaking me, I start hating it too.
My mind has stereotyped vehicles, maybe for my safety.
Does this phenomenon sound familiar?
